What - no keyboard?

   I was VERY interested in this as I had one for years after I bought mine
   as soon as they were available in the UK - I fancied the nostalgia of
   using one again - just for old times sake. But I noticed that the keyboard
   doesn't work - so my plans to see if I could still remember how to write
   BASIC programs has gone out of the window.

   As far as I am concerned it's a missed opportunity and I now no longer
   want to buy one of these - I may just search charity shops for an
   original.

   What a shame.

   The intention of the mini is to fund the big version where the keyboard
   does in fact work.
   However you can plug a USB keyboard in the mini and use it as a normal 64.
   IMHO the mini is a great idea and in fact "Not " making it would be the
   missed opportunity considering mini's are all the rage it seems and are
   like gold dust to get hold of.

   Sad, no keyboard at all. If you willing to "sacrifice" a C-64, then you'll
   have good news soon... [3];)

   PS: Not really a sacrifice, you will be able to put everything back
   together.

   Once you start tacking on USB keyboards and peripherals, I think it loses
   its all-in-oneness. You might as well use an emulator at that point, or
   enjoy the original if you can.

   As far as games go, there's a few extra buttons on the joysticks that will
   be mapped to keypresses that each game needs. I don't know if you can map
   those buttons for your own sideloaded games.
