Games tap format

   hi i just bought a c64 mini can i use the games tap format on it ? or do i
   need to convert them ?
   if so any help will be a great start for me cheers

   There are a number of posts on here about this sort of thing.

   Basically, it is currently possible to access D64 and D81 (though with a
   couple of extra steps) files and there will soon be a firmware update
   allowing you to switch between disk file image.

   Although no information has been released, it is much anticipated that
   TAP, CRT, etc files will also be supported eventually.

   If you can’t wait (and can’t find your program already on D64 format),
   then you need to extract the PRG file(s) from the TAP image and then load
   them into a D64 image. There are various tools that can help with this and
   you’ll find a few posts discussing methods. You probably won’t get any
   loading music with this approach, depending on the way the tools work.
