C64mini on monitor with HDMI-DVI-Cable

   With my TV all works perfect but not with HDMI-DVI-Cable on my
   Computer-Monitor. My Monitor is a Samsung Syncmaster 2253 BW. After power
   on mini my monitor says "Ungeeigneter Modus - Empfohlener Modus 1680x1050
   60 Hz"
   Google says "Inappropriate mode - Recommended mode 1680x1050 60Hz"
   What can i do to use the mini with a monitor and not with TV?

   Your monitor has a native resolution of 1680x1050 and the C64 Mini cannot
   output at that. The HDMI connection is trying to push it through at that
   resolution and it's just not going to happen.

   Might be time to upgrade that old monitor.
