Keyboard problem VillainK1 Cherry mechanical keyboard not working -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Darbyram [2]VillainK1 Are you using it via a usb hub? and plugging it in before you boot the mini? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- VillainK1 No i plugging it directly its a corsair k90 it need 2 usb ports!!! I have plugged it in before i boot not working!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Darbyram Try it in a mains powered usb hub if possible. via the mini -------------------------------------------------------------------------- walnutwhip a corsair k90 is going to need quite a lot of power. a REALLY powerful psu or a powered hub is necessary. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Darbyram [3]walnutwhip I wasn't sure of the power needs, but with 2 inputs its got to be a lot. I just use a cheap usb keyboard at the moment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- mr_appleby Does it need two USB ports to work or is the second just extra power for devices that connect to the keyboard as a hub? I ask because I'm using a Das Keyboard myself, which is a mechanical keyboard with two USB plugs. I simply have only one plug in - you might need to experiment to see which is the right plug. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- VillainK1 [4]mr_appleby 1usb is just for power but not working i try with powered usb hub too both not working not compatible -------------------------------------------------------------------------- mr_appleby [5]VillainK1 no worries I forgot about the RGB lighting on the corsair. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- walnutwhip a corsair k90 needs one usb 3.0 or 2 usb 2.0 for the power. usb 2.0 only supplies half the needs for a k90. as memory serves, im using a corsair k90 right now, with its rgb lighting etc. you are not going to power a k90 with one usb port on a mini. you definitely need a powered hub with 2 free ports on it. i would say a 2.5amp hub at least. those k90s need power for all that rgb stuff. even if you dont need, or use, it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- VillainK1 [6]walnutwhip i have try with a (Aten US224 USB Switch ) 2 Free usb Port with power connector Not Working Dude!! The K90 have power, but no response from the C64 Mini -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 2. https://community.thec64.com/d/266/1 3. https://community.thec64.com/d/266/5 4. https://community.thec64.com/d/266/6 5. https://community.thec64.com/d/266/10 6. https://community.thec64.com/d/266/11
