MIK I copied Ikari Warriors that has high score saving to one of the slots. Before the update there was a small 1second pause while it looked for the drive to save the score too. Obviously being on one of the slots the drive does not exist but all was fine and the game returned back to the front end. Great! With firmware 1.0.6 Everything as above but now I have a disk icon on the top right of the screen which pops up at the point of score saving and it keeps flashing none stop even though the game has returned back to the title screen or I have another play. Reloading the save state make it go away, until it wants to save again... I guess you could say everything is working properly as it should be, but still..., personally I don't need to see this icon. On a different note: This might be just me... The speed of the C64mini now feels a tad faster with 1.0.6. Music is at the correct speed but the gaming? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Darbyram [2]MIK I noticed the disk icon whilst loading something that wasn't on my usb. Not noticed the speed increase (but that could be due to my age) lol -------------------------------------------------------------------------- MIK The only thing I can add, if you have not switched it off after installing the update then do so but also unplug it from the mains to fully reset it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Darbyram [3]MIK I did the factory reset after updating mine, always a good idea after an update. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- MIK [4]Darbyram I'm starting to think it might be me. I've been using the TV scanline mode for most of the week and just realised it's off. There might be a nats between having scanlines on and normal mode. I'll do a full reset any way. Thanks! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Darbyram [5]MIK Always worth a go dude. or try another tv -------------------------------------------------------------------------- MIK Buggy Boy also has the never ending flashing disk icon issue when trying to save high scores, this was expected of course. A shame really because if a real drive was switched off would we see an icon on a real machine. [6];) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- saramakos I've noticed a number of system freezes since installing the update, to the point of having to hold the power button to forcefully power off (just pressing it once to cleanly shutdown didn't work). 2 within Boulder Dash and 4 within BASIC just today. Also one crash back to the carousel in BASIC. Anyone else experienced anything like this? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SirGeldi [7]saramakos Yes same here. System freezes after After 10 minutes Uridium in pause menu. Stopped using my mini on Friday and switched back to Winvice 3.1 wich is much less frustrating. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker I'd suggest people report issues and bugs through the contact page. Try to give as much information as possible to reproduce the problems to help them track the bugs down. They will only be able to fix issues if they can see how they occur... -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SirGeldi [8]RetroBiker Don't worry i reported it. And i will do any further firmware update. For now it is only a posh paperweight or future RasPI case. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- saramakos Already have, but also hope others do. Just be easier if I could spot a pattern to it :/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- MIK The only thing that might help, I get a sense that turning the mini off while still being provided with power only does a soft reset. If you have it crash or suspect something is starting to play up then unplug the mini fully from the mains for say 20-30 seconds to reduce the odd issue happening more often. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SirGeldi Weather is good first time this year. So i go out and play my R nine T. RetroBiker should know what i mean. Vrooooom Nice weekend to all. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker [9]SirGeldi Haha. Weather has been very wet here today. Cleaned the bike this morning and have been trying out loads of the games on the Mini this afternoon. Some of them I just do not understand. [10]😆😆 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SirGeldi I survived my first bike session this year. Old man is still able to ride puh. If my English doesn't fit Queens level i apologize in advance, it is not my first language. So if I sound grumpy or sarcastic i am not. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 2. https://community.thec64.com/d/247/1 3. https://community.thec64.com/d/247/3 4. https://community.thec64.com/d/247/4 5. https://community.thec64.com/d/247/5 7. https://community.thec64.com/d/247/8 8. https://community.thec64.com/d/247/10 9. https://community.thec64.com/d/247/14
