Display Colors Problem SoniC-LaBlue Hi Community & theC64mini Team, I have a problem regarding colors displayed on a DELL monitor attached to the c64 by a HDMI-to-DVI cable. It seems like there is no real black displayed - everything is some kind of "blue"ed: [2]C64 This monitor is working fine with: laptop, SNES mini, NES mini, tablet & smartphone (via USB/HDMI adaptor) etc. - only the C64 has a problem. Has anyone an idea what this issue could be and how to solve it? Thanks & best regards, Alex -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Moz333 I would try on a TV, and use the hdmi cable included, just to be double sure its not faulty.. Not sure if its intended for HDMI to DVI. Fella on YouTube was having similar probs getting monitor display. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SoniC-LaBlue Hi Moz333, you are right > using only an HDMI-cable on another Monitor works. It is very disappointing, that the c64 has this kind of Display-Compatibility problems, as ALL other devices I tested (SNES&NES mini, even tablet/smartphone with USB-HDMI adaptor) worked without any problems on this setup :-( Thanks for your answer & best regards, Alex -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroGamesLtd Lots of other unrelated HDMI compatible hardware experience the same purple HDMI problem (e.g. consoles, bluray players, HD satellite boxes etc). In our experience to date, this only happens on THEC64 Mini when not enough power is supplied to the device. Can we ask how you are powering THEC64 Mini and do you have any other USB devices connected to it at the time? Any additional information will help us to troubleshoot the problem for you. Thanks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Moz333 Maybe its something that will get sorted in the future, via a software upgrade ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SoniC-LaBlue Hi RetroGamesLtd, I tested 2 powersupplies (Apple 5,2V 2,4A & Hama 5V 2,1A) - no other USB devices despite of the joystick connected. The problem is the same with both. Best, Alex -------------------------------------------------------------------------- SoniC-LaBlue ...tested with 2 different USB-cables & started without joystick - problem consists. Monitor is a DELL U2412Mc connected with a HDMI-to-DVI cable. Best, Alex -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroGamesLtd Thanks for the response. We will pass this information on and see if we can find out why this is happening. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/
