Connecting to monitor via HDMI RajaJ Hi, Sorry if this has already been posted and answered however did a search and couldn't see any related posts. I've plugged in the mini to my PC monitor (Acer H257HU) via HDMI however I get no image on the screen. The monitor just continually scans all inputs and then turns off. Works perfectly fine on the TV - anyone experienced similar? any known issues/fixes? Thank you -------------------------------------------------------------------------- spinal From what I have read elsewhere, the hdmi output from the c64 is 50hz, if the monitor does not support this signal it will not show. Apparently the USA version to be released in the future will be 60hz and should work on these monitors. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RajaJ [2]spinal thank you - hope this can be fixed via a firmware update. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- KenS I live in the US, and the mini works great on the monitors. If your monitor works on range of freq's it should work. I assume that you used the same HDMI cable on the TV and Monitor. You might check your monitor settings. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RajaJ [3]KenS Thanks Ken, yes I've used the supplied cable. I'm guessing it's down to the fact that my C64 mini is a pal version supporting 50hz and my monitor doesn't support that. That said, will take a look at the settings. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bitwinter I tried connecting this to my 52” Sony Bravia XBR5 And it didn’t work- it says unsupported video source The TV is 12 years old but does support all HD modes. So I tried it on my newer 2017 LG 4K curved OLED and it worked great! I live in the US. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 2. https://community.thec64.com/d/195/2 3. https://community.thec64.com/d/195/4
