My c64 mini works fine when connected to my TVs. I wanted to connect to my dell p1316 monitor which has dvi and vga ports. I tried a hdmi dvi adaptor which is ok but don't get sound. Could I connect an external sound speaker via the USB in monitor or mini ? Failing that is it worth upgrading to a monitor with HDMI connection and built in speakers ? What do you think ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker [2]Richy42 You can get devices which can split sound out of a HDMI signal allowing you to send it to speakers with the video going to a monitor. Never tried it myself, though. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- KenS I just ordered a Sceptre E225W-19203R 22" monitor that has 2-HDMI, 1 -VGA connections and internal speakers from Amazon yesterday. This way I can use my C64C w/ a video converter, PC with Win3.1 and the THEC64 mini / THE C64. Suppose to get on Monday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Richy42 thanks all - Just got myself a new multimedia with hdmi and speakers - works a treat - happy days -------------------------------------------------------------------------- KenS Got my Sceptre E225W-19203R 22" monitor today, work great with the THEC64. Nice to have sound. Now I have 3 computers hooked up to one monitor. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 2. https://community.thec64.com/d/171/1
