Is there a way to convert them to D64? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nobleck I hope this helps, you may want to take a look at DirMaster v3.1.1/Style -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jammet Alternatively, get STAR COMMANDER. It is an older DOS program. Granted, you will have to run it using an Emulator all in itself already. Use DOSBOX for that. It's well worth the effort though, because if you are familiar with Norton Commander of old -- or any clone thereof, you can simply open the contents of a T64 file, and a D64 file, and copy/move rename to your hearts content. This way I put a small ensemble of my favourite games on a single disk. You know, just like we actually USED TO DO IT back when emulators weren't a thing. The 1 game per 1 disk rule of today would have been such a waste. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- bossakungen You can use Total commander and the "Dircbm" plugin: [2]https://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm You can then open the .t64 files and do File>Pack to create a .d64 file -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gab75 You can also use "D64editor" ([3]http://www.d64editor.com/)... it's enough create a new blank D64 disk and then import inside the requested T64 file... PS: the multi-file T64's can't be imported, a multi-file is a T64 with two or more embedded PRGs inside. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parcival [4]@Gab75 Which multi-file. prg's didn't work for you? I am using DirMaster 3.1.1 to create my multi-game .D64 files and I transferred Spelunker across and it works fine. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gab75 [5]Parcival Of course, with D64editor you can also create a multi-games disk, you can add different PRGs until reaching 664 blocks (171 kbytes). The "multi-file T64" is a single file that includes more PRGs inside and the current D64editor release doesn't support it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parcival [6]Gab75 I am using WinDirMaster which does support single game muti-PRG files to be moved into a D64 image. As stated, this is what I am using with the game Spelunker. The game itself is 3 PRG files, the main game file and then 2 PRG data files. It works just fine. Can you give me an example of multi-file .t64 files that you have come across ? I think you'll find that tape games (t64) back in the day were single file only. Multi-file games were reserved for the floppy discs (d64). I'll be transferring 'Fahrenheit 451' and the disc-based version of 'The Hobbit' later to see how that goes as they are multi-file .prg games. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gab75 [7]Parcival Normally the T64 files include only one PRG, however sometimes (but not often) they can also include two or more PRGs, like the D64 files. At the end the T64 is a tape image file and then it can include more PRGs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- lowtone [8]Parcival have original datasettes and came across RType and instructions indicate that play button needed to be kept on as you played game,as each level would only load after completion of preceding so not sure how the c64mini would handle that. maybe saving state after each level but that would count as multi file load. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parcival [9]@Gab75 I found some T64 files with documents and pictures (docx & pic) but I assume these are part of the loading screen and instructions when you start the game. Nevertheless, these are additional prg files as part of .t64 file set [10] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker [11]lowtone If the game is expecting to open the tape device to load in more data, then it probably won’t work on disks as is. It won’t be expecting to have to open the disk. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 2. https://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm 3. http://www.d64editor.com/ 4. https://community.thec64.com/u/Gab75 5. https://community.thec64.com/d/156/6 6. https://community.thec64.com/d/156/7 7. https://community.thec64.com/d/156/8 8. https://community.thec64.com/d/156/8 9. https://community.thec64.com/u/Gab75 11. https://community.thec64.com/d/156/11
