About the Joystick and Modding it spannernick1 I was playing a game yesterday,it was a tank game, one that comes with it,can't remember the name of it,you can shot the blocks and the star things that move around and when you do the stars there turn into a + block for about 5 to 10 second and change back, anyway,I noticed that the joystick has a habit of if I push left or right it wants to go up instead, this is the problem of using pads and not microswitches.I am going to see if my C64DTV does it,I don't think it does. Ideal: Modding the Joystick with a DB9 Connector. I was thinking you could mod the joystick,if it has the same pads and same layout on it board as the C64DTV then you can add a DB9 connector to the joystick so you can use the original joysticks from your Commodore 64...???? But if you do you will void your 1 year warranty,Just a idea to think about.. [2]:D,I have 2 C64DTV's and the PAL version is in its own case and modded with DB9 connectors, and the other is the NTSC version and still in its joystick, but has its own Power supply,so modded not to run on batteries. .. [3]:D yes I love anything to do with Commodore,so much so I made my own OS of it.. [4]:D I am sure you have heard of it,Commodore OS. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- spinal That would be very easy to do, have a look inside, the joystick only has one chip and there are plenty of solder points exposed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- HeavyDuty Has anyone tried a DB9 to USB adapter to see if the pin outs are correct and enable the use of older joysticks ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/
