I have mine powered from the same (powered) USB hub it is connected to the joystick, wireless keyboard and memory stick with and it’s working great. Loaded up supermon+ and an assembly app I’m working on. Runs great! And the disk access is really sped up! Loads off a d64 super fast! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Plzsm [8]RetroBiker interesting, sounds like I could be doing something wrong? Slow for me -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker [9]Plzsm The first time I did stuff, it was super fast loading. Just now, it took a bit longer, but otherwise ran ok once loaded. I think it may have been my USB stick. Sometimes accesses are faster than others. Unplugging and re-inserting may help... -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker [10]Plzsm Have a look in the “load games from two *.d64 disks” thread. There seems to be a trick with fast loading. Will try to confirm this morning... -------------------------------------------------------------------------- spannernick1 And here is TheC64 Mini's big brother in the bedroom... [11]:D [12][IMG] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- synchromesh Heres the rest of my family with my new Mini [13]:) Hopefully the full sized version will be there next year [14][IMG] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker [15]RetroBiker Have confirmed this. Just by going into any game from the carousel, then into BASIC, loading from disk will be super fast. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Plzsm i tried that for one game and it worked but then it wouldnt play, just stuck on first screen. Another game i really want to play either wont load or if it dos wont play and i have tried a few versions. Guess i cant name the game here. is there a forum where you can name games? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Plzsm [16]Plzsm i worked out the answer to this thanks to Vinny/Freeze64. Massive thanks to him. I was uploading games but then they werent working. I was missing the final step to initiate the game which is return or space on the keyboard. Right, i am off to gaming heaven! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 5. https://postimg.org/image/lmyivngo7/ 6. https://postimg.org/image/xc2ijokif/ 7. https://community.thec64.com/d/139/1 8. https://community.thec64.com/d/139/2 9. https://community.thec64.com/d/139/3 10. https://community.thec64.com/d/139/3 12. https://postimg.org/image/dj46vtlg7/ 14. https://postimg.org/image/6uutgbzsl/ 15. https://community.thec64.com/d/139/8 16. https://community.thec64.com/d/139/10
