Happy Official Release day Plzsm Happy official release day everyone, may you all develop blisters on your thumbs through excessive joystick action on Summer Games II [2]😀 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bronski I have blisters but I cant blame Summer Games II :-) Mine has arrived, was early for Amazon, box was battered but thankfully the console box is ok, sadly I cant try it as i'm at work till 5 :-( I'm surprised how heavy the box feels to be honest, feels quite weighty. I just want to go home now, have been holding my breath to see if I can take all the colour out of my face, make it look as though i'm coming down with something lol Hope everyone else has or starts to get theirs delivered. Cant believe I cancelled my pre-order, thankfully I saw the error of my ways and got one! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker If mine arrives by lunch time, I'll be "working from home" this afternoon! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bronski [3]RetroBiker Fingers crossed it arrives soon! I tracked mine on Amazon, they seem to have updated the tracking now, you can follow the van on a map and it even tells you how many stops away from you he is. Thankfully the actual console box is ok, it come in a plastic bag also however Amazon has just wrapped it in one of them box wrap things, it was battered! You'll be busy this afternoon, possibly one of your most productive days Id say ;-) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker How am I supposed to get any work done today?!? [4]delivery status -------------------------------------------------------------------------- spannernick1 Mine just arrived from Game, and I love it,its so cute.. [8]:D [9]https://www.youtube.com/user/spannernick Thanks Guys for making TheC64 Mini. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- bobbymac1956 Received mine today it looks wonderful ; One small thing the manual is not a full c64 manual more a quick start guide . I sort of expected this so in anticipation I ordered an original manual on eBay there are still some on there but i expect demand might exceed supply so if you have the inclination ? perhaps buy now . -------------------------------------------------------------------------- stuarty38 Still waiting on mine showed shipped from Game yesterday so hopefully today or tomorrow....working from home today hoping could wait in for it -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bronski [10]stuarty38 You should get it today hopefully, a lad at work had his arrive today from game by royal mail, another lad went today to the local argos and got one their. £69.99 in argos though but he did get a £5 gift card because he spent over £50 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker Mine's arrived. Just hoping I can keep it dry on the way home! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bronski [11]RetroBiker Did yours come wrapped in a plastic bag? If so, hopefully that should help keep the gods off it till you get home! Are you pedal or petrol? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker [12]Bronski Yeah, it's in plastic and will be in a pretty watertight backpack. Petrol. I normally have a grin while riding, but will be like the Cheshire Cat on my way home today! Definitely feeling a bit like a kid right now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bronski [13]RetroBiker Brilliant! They seem to come pretty well wrapped and once in your backpack, you should be good to go! Riding home Grinning like a Cheshire Cat, more like a Cat on heat don't you mean lol I know what you mean, to think I cancelled my pre-order. Glad I had a change of heart. When it arrived at work today, I opened it and I felt the years fall away! For a brief moment I was back in 82 until another case landed on my desk and burst my short lived bubble... until I get home :-) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- computercoder [14]Bronski I think you will be very happy to have this Mini in hand! Although the stick is about how you imagined it was [15]:) I'm considering (and designing) its replacement from the Arcade box I was making. The Mini itself is AMAZING in its ability to play the games. Expected LAG is there, but you'll soon compensate for that. LOVE the Minis [16]:) Can't wait to try the full-sized ones next! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- davedoubledecks Happy release day. Plug mine in with my little Bluetooth keyboard and 256mb usb stick with usb hub and its works. Thank you for bring back memories of my childhood. [17]:) David [18]C64 Mini -------------------------------------------------------------------------- synchromesh Have to say congrats to the Dev's Personally I'm really happy and as a backer mine was free But in support of the full size I bought another C64Mini from Game which i may mod in the future [19]:) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gurce Wow, enjoyed reading all these posts from everyone sharing their special moment [20]:) Looking forward to doing so myself after the end of today! In the meantime, I was sniffing around twitter and found an adorable post from somebody there. I'm not sure of the etiquette of sharing another person's 'personal memory' tweet, in some ways, it feels a bit wrong as it's their special memory, but on the other hand, it's just so damn adorable and I can't help but share it here [21]:) If I'm wrong in doing so, forum moderators are welcome to take it down, no hard feelings [22]:) [23]IFrame -------------------------------------------------------------------------- synchromesh [24]Gurce If I'm wrong in doing so, forum moderators are welcome to take it down, no hard feelings [25]:) Shouldn't touch it really ...Its a damn good advert [26]:) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gurce Had my c64 mini day with mum, wifey, sister and nephew. Very memorable day for all of us :-) Here's a few pics on facebook :-) [27]IFrame Overall, I'm very happy. My nephew was a bit disappointed with the lag as it detracted from the gameplay of high-speed shooter games. Yeah, I take his point, but I'm happy to let it slide for now and just enjoy reliving the memories, and hope with the great momentum the c64 team has now, they can iron out the kinks in future :-) I'm feeling the lag is more specific to when the emulator is running, as I don't sense any lag when moving about in the carousel menu. I set my tv into game mode, no big improvement. Anyway, despite this, great job guys, I'm a very happy chappy! :-) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 3. https://community.thec64.com/d/134/3 9. https://www.youtube.com/user/spannernick 10. https://community.thec64.com/d/134/8 11. https://community.thec64.com/d/134/9 12. https://community.thec64.com/d/134/11 13. https://community.thec64.com/d/134/12 14. https://community.thec64.com/d/134/13 23. https://s9e.github.io/iframe/twitter.min.html#979397668932915200 24. https://community.thec64.com/d/134/17 27. https://s9e.github.io/iframe/facebook.min.html#411308972626921
