(California, US) Have not tried it out yet, maybe this weekend. I did not originally order the mini, pre-order the full size version a year ago. I would like the see the full size version designed a little different. I wish they would put in a cartridge port. Also at least one more USB port. Even back in the 1980's I was more interested in applications than games. But overall, I am glad to see the C64 world is still going strong with modern technology from various vendors. Amazing. Enjoyed the videos on the manufacture processes. Have two cousins that are Mechanical Engineers that work in the computer field during the 1980's and 90's. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker [2]KenS I can’t imagine the full size one could have a cartridge slot unless it is a full hardware implementation. A cartridge isn’t just external memory. It can be another cpu. Supporting them from an emulator would be a nightmare. The risk of damaging them would be too high to try. The A20 used in the mini supports 2 USB ports. If they use a more expensive chip, then it might have more ports. I think this would be a big win for the product. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- KenS I hooked up my C64 mini to a Samsung S22F350FHN monitor (Aug 2016) and a USB Logitech K20 Keyboard. Both work great, no lags. But the monitor doesn't have any speakers, so no sound. Might have to get another monitor. Keyboard works good with BASIC, no lags in key response. Going to buy a USB stick just for this mini. Have one that is formatted to FAT 16 for a PC with Win3.1 do use with UniComal IBM PC ver 3.11 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- KenS More USB ports (at least one more) and a selection files to load such as.prg. I purchased a PNY 16GB. 2.0/3.0 USB stick. Formatted to FAT32. I get "0 READONLY file, 664 Blocks, ect. But no d64 file listed. Saved file as THEC64-drive8.64. Put in USB at carousel before opening BASIC. Tried COMAL v14 Power Driver and Ultma 1 d64 images. Will try others. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 2. https://community.thec64.com/d/130/1
