Display issues rogersyd My mini works on a small COBY TV i have in the den, but not the newer, larger, Samsung tv in the living room. On that display, i get an "incompatible resolution" error. Can anyone confirm the exact video specs the mini outputs so I can check that with the TV specs? Also in the review that 8-bit-guy did, it appears that a new version of the firmware is available. Is that one in beta and can we get our hands on it? Thanks! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- rogersyd Watched the 8-bit-guy video again. He had similar issues and was told: "most likely cause of the problem is that this is a European version (of the c64 mini) and it operates at 50 Hz. And apparently some of the older North American television sets, even though they are HDMI, they don't work properly at 50 Hz." Is this something that can be fixed with firmware or is this a hardware issue that would require opting for the NA version when they become available? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroGamesLtd This is something we are already looking into. It seems to only be affecting a few people, so it would be very helpful if you could let us know the exact model of your TV so we can investigate further, either here on the forum or via the Contact form if you prefer. Thanks for your valued feedback so far. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- steve My TV is a Panasonic model TC-L32C3. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- rogersyd My Samsung model is UN46FH6030F Thank you! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- duckduckduck Panasonic TH-42PZ80U (plasma) Sound works fine but no video (black screen). Thanks! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jammet I've had issues like that with several screens, when trying to use HDMI switches. But that was the SNES mini. It seems some of these low-power devices are a little finicky with HDMI signals. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- patrickc64 Acer Predator X34A is not working. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gurce Experienced lag on Panasonic TH-L50DT60A, with game mode on, and forcefully turning off all other picture refinement settings. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/
