Command Poulpc can i write 10 Print"Poulpc" 20 goto 10 if not, no thank you.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ReflectedLightEntertainment You can type it with a PC keyboard. Do note that some of the C64 keys maybe mapped to odd locations on the PC keyboard. A better documentation of that that is easily grasped by people would be good. An alternative that I know works with Intel & Compatible PCs is to use a real C64 keyboard and keyrah in place of the C64 motherboard. You could use one of those C64c cases and C64 keyboards and then buy a Keyrah 2 from individual Computers gmbh - here: [2]https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/en/shop/product/keyrah-v2.html I have to try it sometime but it may work with VICE/WinVICE. This might help: [3]http://wiki.icomp.de/wiki/Keyrah_V2 It is my understanding that this works for VICE/WinVICE. This will allow you to use real C64 keyboard. Someday, we'll need real C64 keyboards to be made using possibly Cherry Mechanical keys but made to 100% compatible to Commodore keyboard specifications for proper functionality. This, a Keyrah v2 and those C64c reproduction cases and there's a nice product for the emulator systems. This is more expensive than a regular USB keyboard BUT you have a more authentic experience. I can tell you, I have typed in more sophisticated programs than that using a PC keyboard. So yes, you can do that with a PC keyboard but I would recommend getting a real C64 keyboard with all the keys, a C64c reproduction case, and a Keyrah v2 and put it together and hook it up to your PC and possibly THEC64 Mini if they get the keyrah drivers working if they haven't already. This would be a good product for those who really want the authentic keyboard experience. If they can reproduce actual C64 keyboards, that would be a good product that serves not only original C64 users but also the buyers of the Mini. This would be something I would support and it contributes to real C64 users and authentic experience with the keys and the joystick ports. This would be a doable firmware upgrade in the emulation that they can offer. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Poulpc [4]ReflectedLightEntertainment so the keyboard is non-functional, they are half assing it like the Nes Mini and Snes Mini -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ReflectedLightEntertainment [5]Poulpc On the Mini.... yes. That is why it would have made more sense to use a case design perhaps with some reminescence to the C64GS. While the C64GS failed due to it's timing to the market when the game console market was shifting to 16 bit, it may work for something like this. The full-size model of this is purported to be having a fully functional keyboard. One option is to design a case design reminescent to make a real C64 keyboard with a Keyrah v2 or like interface in a reproduction C64 or C64C case. Currently, C64c style cases are available but we could conceivably come up with snap in brackets to close off the back ports that would not be used when being used as a PC keyboard for use on the PC and in C64 emulation. I'm thinking about possibly doing something like this if these guys don't and be targetted for the entire Commodore user community whether it be with real C= hardware or with the emulator users with cases that fully functions for all kinds of users. It would obviously cost more than a regular cheap standard C64 keyboard but it would serve a niche market. So in short, I have nothing against THEC64 Mini / THEC64 being supported along with the broader C64 emulation side of the Commodore community as a niche market. I'll be contacting Mitsumi sometime to check on some stuff they may have that can support this. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 2. https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/en/shop/product/keyrah-v2.html 3. http://wiki.icomp.de/wiki/Keyrah_V2 4. https://community.thec64.com/d/12/3 5. https://community.thec64.com/d/12/4
