JohnnyG I haven't seen anywhere whether or not mini production continues, or if this was a once off production run and attention now turns to the full size C64? In particular, i am wondering if joystick production still continues, and there will soon be more stock available? Or is this everything until the full size gets released? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- synchromesh [2]JohnnyG I haven't seen anywhere whether or not mini production continues, or if this was a once off production run and attention now turns to the full size C64? Hell I hope not ... This should be just one of the Retrogames products available ... And the next is the full size version Even the joysticks should sell well [3]:) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jammet This is just guesswork, but from what I can tell through observing the german Amazon product page of the Mini, it was sold out instantly, and even pre-ordering wasn't possible for about a month prior to release up until now. For a brief moment, another shop sold it, too, but for 150% of the original price. So let us hope that the Mini won't be targeted by the kind of people who buy it in bulk only to sell it for double the price, on Ebay. One way to prevent this from happening would be to supply enough of these, and keep producing them for some time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- scottyhp I’m very concerned about that kind of scenario happening in the US, based on what we went through with the Nintendo and SNES minis. I went crazy trying to get those and I wasn’t even a Nintendo kid - I would trade them in a heartbeat for a C64 mini, since that’s what I grew up with. Hey they brings up an idea. If I can’t purchase a C64 mini, maybe I can set up a trade with someone. Lol. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goclastninja Everywhere seems to be sold out here in Dublin Ireland, gamestop, argos, smyths ye cant even pre order for delivery anymore,if Smyths dont deliver mine on Thursday and give me some bullshit story ill go charles bronson on them, can see der being supply problems already,im sure they will be on ebay next week for 30 grand -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroGamesLtd As long as demand remains then production continues on THEC64 Mini! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- scottyhp [4]RetroGamesLtd That’s great to hear! I want to be able to get one without battling hoarders and ebayers. Looking forward to North America release. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goclastninja Smyths toys just confirmed all c64 minis have been dispatched for delivery in Ireland I received email and they just raided my card for 80 bucks, cant frickin wait....haven't been this excited since Trump got elected -------------------------------------------------------------------------- greywulfe Got mine yesterday (NY - USA). But I guess it's a good gauge of demand so there can be enough for holidays. Imagine if this was released in December? People would have been pissed....better this way. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- JohnnyG I collect mine today! (Australia) - can't wait to try it over the Easter long weekend, Keen to show the kids how it was like back in them olden days, but a shame I wont be able to two-player with them due to the unavailability of second joysticks [5]:( -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gurce [6]JohnnyG If you've got any usb controllers in the house with 8 buttons, give them a try :-) I saw a thread in this forum from someone saying that they got their ps4 controller working with it. Some have even gotten wireless keyboards to work with it. So give what you have at home a try and fingers crossed! :-) Oh and let us know back here what models worked or didnt work for you (that info can help others in the community out too :-)) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RetroBiker [7]JohnnyG Several of the games support 2-player play with one joystick (alternating use), so you might still be able to do a bit of playing together. Check the games list on the website for full info. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/ 2. https://community.thec64.com/d/115/1 4. https://community.thec64.com/d/115/6 6. https://community.thec64.com/d/115/10 7. https://community.thec64.com/d/115/10
