Question...Who Came up with the idea of making the C64 again..? spannernick1 HI..Who was the brainchild of it,was it made from the idea from making The ZX Spectrum Vega,"ah we have made a Speccy and lets make a Commodore,People will love it"... ? [2]:D -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trinket The ASIC-based C64 DTV was released in 2004, and I think was the first mass market one. People from that project are also doing this one. Before then the C-One sort of existed, which was an early FPGA reconfigurable computer that had stock & extended C64 cores of some form available, and was probably attributable as the origin of the concept. The creator of that was contracted to create the hardware for the DTV. These days, FPGA boxes like the MIST and Super NT are much more accessible than they were back then. The Turbo Chameleon 64 is also a notable and interesting device, as an expansion cart for the 64 which also can run standalone as a fully independent C64 system, on a FPGA. It's more recent, though, circa 2013 or so. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- References Visible links 1. https://community.thec64.com/
